Legacy public-sector systems hold decades of business rules, undocumented relationships and records that still carry audit and retention obligations. Archiva specialises in understanding that source, translating it for the destination, and proving the result before handover.
PostgreSQL archive
Legacy records are rebuilt into a documented PostgreSQL archive, supported by open-format exports and, where required, a thin read-only search and reporting layer.
Reconciliation
Counts, control totals and agreed reports are compared with the source throughout the migration. Variances, exceptions and decisions remain visible in the handover evidence.

Understand the source
We inspect the UniVerse system, its dictionaries, historical structures and the records that need to be retained.

Define the handover
We agree the required package. This may include source extracts, a PostgreSQL archive, open-format exports, read-only access and destination-specific mappings.

Extract and rebuild
We extract the source faithfully, unpack MultiValue structures and rebuild explicit, documented datasets.

Reconciliation and handover
We compare counts, control totals and agreed reports with the source, record variances and deliver the data, evidence and documentation.
The handover
Everything needed to use, retain and understand the archive.
Every engagement ends with one complete handover package. It gives the client practical access to the archive, independent custody of the data, evidence of how it was reconciled and the documentation needed to understand it.
The standard package includes read-only access, clean CSV exports, a restorable PostgreSQL backup, reconciliation outputs, schema documentation and an index to retained documents.

Archiva is a small specialist team focused on legacy ERP data migration for public-sector organisations in Australia and New Zealand. We take on defined engagements where our UniVerse source expertise and evidence-led approach are a genuine fit.
Clients work directly with the people responsible for the migration. We do not sell a platform, resell a destination system or make continued access to client data dependent on us. Our role is to deliver a usable archive and leave the client in control.

UniVerse and other MultiValue systems are not simply older relational databases. Their repeating fields, conversion rules and dictionaries change what a complete and usable extraction requires.
